UPDATE: The Reparations Workshops taking place this week as part of the Red Card Campaign and People’s Justice Centre will be held on the East Rand – not at the centre in Soweto – and will be hosted by the East Rand Group. The Khulumani Support group has organised a People’s Justice Fan Centre at the Methodist Central Mission in Jabavu, Soweto for the duration of the World Cup. Here members of the community, and beyond, can engage in critical debates around the Apartheid Lawsuit and broader social justice issues while also screening every game of the World Cup!
Daily activities take place as follows:
Mondays: Venue open for Exhibition Viewing & Match Screenings & Social History Tour Encounters
Tuesdays & Thursdays: Apartheid Survivor Testimonies x 2, Cultural Performances – Drama, Music & Poetry & Match Screenings
Wednesdays: Focus on Apartheid Lawsuit & Match Screenings
Fridays: PANEL Presentations & Film Screenings & Match Screenings
Saturdays & Sundays: Venue Closed

Fri 11 Jun: 10:30 – 12:30 PANEL & DISCUSSION on “Voices from the Left Field (or Sidelined?)”
Discussion on various voices that have something to say about the Football World Cup being organised in our country. This panel takes place on the day of the first match from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. The venue is the Methodist Central Mission, cnr Mphuthi and Diakane Streets, Central Western Jabavu.
